Definition Text that elaborates the writer's idea about the phenomenon surrounding. A piece of text that present one side of an issue.  Social Function  The purpose of an exposition text is to persuade the reader or listener to believe something by presenting one side of the argument. Its social function is to persuade the reader that the idea is important matter. Types  Analytical Expotision TextHortatory Expotision Text Generic Structure Thesis Introducing the topic and shows the writer's position.  Arguments Explaining the argument to support writer's position. It consists about point and elaboration.  Point = states the main argument  Elaboration = develops and supports each point of argument.  Reiteration  Consist of conclusion the thesis and arguments.
