The function of the application letter is to explain the skills, work experience, and responsibilities of the previous job in detail.
- The Structure of Application Letter
The structure of the application letter consist of :
— Opening
• Applicant information, namely the basic information of the sender of the letter. It contains the full name, contact, and address.
• Date, which is the date on which the letter was written.
• Recipient information, namely information about the recipient of the letter. It contains the recipient's name, position in the company, company name, company address, and company contact.
• Greetings, namely greetings to the recipient of the letter. Can greet with "Dear, Ms..."
— Body
• Introduction. Fill in with your full name, current position (fresh graduate or work), what position you are applying for, and where to get the locker info.
• Self promotion. It's time to promote yourself as a suitable candidate for the position. This section consists of :
✓ Skills. Mention what abilities you have while working or in an organization.
✓ Achievements. Write down the achievements that have been achieved, but don't be grandiose. Just tell us about the obstacles you have faced in your previous organization or job, and how you have overcome them. Also write down what the most doing the best is.
✓ Experience. Write down previous work or organizational experience.
✓ Value to the company. Describe what you can give the company to achieve its goals. This point can make companies interested in job applications.
• Conclusion. In this section, write a conclusion about what you want from writing the job application letter. Conclusion consists of:
✓ Expectations. Close the letter by saying the expectations of the company being applied for. Hoping to be contacted back for further steps.
✓ Willingness to work. Show a willingness to be dedicated to the company.
• Closing. This is the very bottom of the letter. In closing, several things are needed, namely :
✓ Sign off. Can write "Sincerely," or "Yours sincerely".
✓ Signature. Write your signature below the sign off. After that, write the full name under the signature.
